Are there any good prenatal/maternity yoga classes in Houston? Any suggestions would be welcomed at this time. I'm beginning my second trimester and I want to continue being active.
The Motherhood Center is the only place that I know of that offers prenatal classes.
However, with my daughter and with this pregnancy as well, I've continued to do my regular vinyasa and hatha yoga classes with minor adjustments. Most yoga instructors have had a basic intro into prenatal yoga and can help you adjust poses as necessary.
I've been going to classes at The Motherhood Center and I enjoy them. I think it's kind of nice to have a specific prenatal class as opposed to modifying but either one will work.
I have read about the Motherhood Center. I live in the Humble/Kingwood area and they have 2 places out there in Kingwood, and a place in Humble that is talking about adding a class. If you can't find one near you, then level 1 yoga classes are okay too and your instructor can show you the modified moves. Just Google it and see what pops up in your area. That's what I did "Kingwood + Prenatal Yoga" and it pulled up! Good luck!!

The Cypress Creek YMCA does, but it's mixed with a water class, at least that is the way I understood the pamphlet.
