We have to go to a graduation tomorrow for the chief residents. Attire for the docs is dress blues with bow tie. I'm almost 36 weeks pregnant and it's hot here, so I have 2 options that fit.. a black and white polka dot dress (short sleeve & hit at the knee) or a sleeveless navy and white dress in a flower pattern that hits at the knee also. Are one of these okay with heels or do I need to go get a longer dress?
Last year it was just dress blues, so not as formal and most wives had on cocktail dresses.
Re: Is this okay to wear?
We have a formal event tomorrow and I am wearing a dress that hits at the knees. I have always worn longer dresses to formals but I couldn't find one for a pregnant women that I liked. Here is mine in case you are interested. Sorry I have a mac and don't know how to make it clicky.

That is cute. My navy & white one is similar in dressiness, so I guess I'm okay.
Thanks!
I ended up going out today and got this one:

DH approved and it felt a little more dressy than what I had. Hope I can sell it since I will be literally wearing it tonight for 3 hours and that's it.
sugar, when you are that pregnant people respect that you made the effort. Just go and try to enjoy yourself. MOST people get it that finding the perfect outfit isn't that simple when baby is in the mix!
Hope you have fun!
