I've only called once before this with a question so it's not like I call all the time or anything, but they are VERY rude. I have a rash, which I know would be something to ask my regular doc about, but as good as he is, he is not very good with "women" stuff. And i'm concerned about being prescribed something that isn't good for baby. I know I should find another but around here it is almost impossible to find a good family doc taking new patients. Anyway, I tried to ask the nurse questions and she was short and VERY rude. This happened the other time I called too. I asked about lunch meat and proactiv. They didn't even know what proactiv was and told me not to use it and was rude about the lunchmeat telling me not to eat it. Then when I had my appointment the doc. said lunch meat was fine, in moderation and that anything topical ie: proactiv was fine also. The doctors i've met so far seem awesome, but i'm thinking about switching based on how rude the nurses are. Would you switch or just stick it out with the b*tchy nurses?

Re: Partners in women's healthcare rant XP
I have mixed emotions with PIWH. I never had any problems with the nurse but did have a HUGE problem with one of the doctors. Very early on in my pregnancy one of their doctors told me my baby died. Tried to really talk me into scheduling a D&C or taking a pill to move things along. I refused and wait a week for nature to take its course only to find out when I went back in that my baby never died. I was around 10-12 weeks when all this happened.
I LOVE PIWH but then again I am not prego so I'm sure things are different. However, I only had one bad experience and that was with Dr. Adams, he's HORRIBLE. Don't go to him. Dr. Scott Readence is the BEST at least at the Lemoyne office. I trust him with my life and that's no exaggeration b/c he was able to get me out of bad point in my life when Dr. Adams told me I had all of this stuff but refused to run tests and then I come to find out that I don't have anything that he thought I did and I dealt with this for almost 2 years of my life.
I have called the nurse hotline a few times in the last week b/c of getting on Povera and to check on my blood results and then to also know for sure (which I still don't know) if I have PCOS but they were great with me. I would wait it out but that's me... and I'm not prego.
I used to go there before moving to Maryland and never had any problems (also wasn't pg). If you are attached to the doctors and have a good rapport with them, then I would stick it out. However, if you're continuing to have doubts then I might think about switching. I know that I had a lot of contact with nurses when I was going in every week for some issues I was having during the pregnancy, or having to call. Then again, it would probably take a lot to make me leave, given that I LOVED my doctor.
I have to laugh about the comment about Dr. Adams! This is who delivered me... which means he is probably approaching retirement or is well past. Crankypants anyone?
I just switched to them from Womens First OB/GYN.....I've had one appointment so far and it was great!! Except for this little scraggly haired nurse in the front....she was a bi#%h.....I love Dr. Readance so far....I'm gonna stick it out and see how it goes...my experience at W. F. OB/GYN I dont think can be topped....it was freakin horrible and I will NEVER step foot in that office again and don't advise ANYONE to go there where they're pregnant!
Good luck!
