Re: Spell this name: eye-lee

  • My guess would be Isley. I believe in Celtic the "Ais" sound is pronounced like "Ash".

  • Well, Isla is I-La, so Isley?
  • I know a couple that named their daughter this and they spelled it: Eylie. Might not be correct, but it's basically phonetic.
  • I have a friend in Finland named Aili and it's pronounced just like eye-lee.

It's a perfectly acceptable name in Finland but it does look almost made up here.

  • My good friend is named Eiley...

I like this spelling and I think the name is beautiful! I also don't hate the spelling of Isley.

My friend just had a baby and spelled it this way, after her grandmother Eileen

  • I would spell it Aylie or Aylee but a lot of people would mispronounce it.

I like this spelling! I think it would be the most recognizable.
