Toddlers: 24 Months+

Training pants/PODS

We recently did the 3 day PT on my son and he is doing awesome at home but not so good at daycare.  Well, yesterday I went to pick him up and the daycare lady refuses to let him wear underwear until he is completely accident free.  Anyone have good experience with any reusable waterproof training pants or the PODS that it talkes about in the 3 day PT booklet?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Also, how are they with leakage?  THat is her biggest concern because he isn't telling her that he has to potty and he is going on things that the other kids use too (sanitary issue).  Thanks!

Re: Training pants/PODS

  • We have a pack of the gerber plastic ones, honestly I've only used them once but they serve their purpose. Is the daycare teacher taking him to the potty even when he doesn't ask? I'm sure if she was offering the potty and taking him even though he hasn't said anything there would be less accidents.

  • Make sure she is taking him often. I used be a toddler teacher in a daycare center and there were some kids we would take every 30 min or so. I have experience with the plastic ones from Gerber as well. Yes, there are pretty good with leakage. There may be some, but usually nothing at all. It really depends on how much they pee.
