DD got violet for her "half birthday" from my mom. she loved it then (it was useful at night and stuff, she kept DD company. but now she just plays with her off and on.
DD got Violet for Christmas...she's now warming up to it a bit I guess but she giggles when she says her name and dances to the songs- time'll tell how "useful" it will be I guess.
DD has my pal Violet... We got it for her for xmas mainly because it's her name...so we thought that was cute. She just now got "interested" in it. She actually loves hearing it sing and play music, it sings songs with your childs name/fave food/toy/animal in it. Also she just recently got to where she CAN NOT sleep without it playing the 10 minutes of bedtime music "goodnight Violet" lol
Yes, he got it around 9 months. He liked it and would grin when I would press the paw to play the music but didn't have a real interest. Recently though he early started to love it (13 months) and hugs him and sleeps with him all the time. Honestly though, a glow worm or sea horse would be just as cool. LO has no idea at this point that it is customized to what I programed in. I am not sure if he realizes it says his name but i might be wrong.
DS has a Scout. There is no way I could get him to sleep without it (the night time songs have become a VERY important part of our bed time routine). I love that it can be programmed to say the child's name and that it sings songs that include spelling the name. I also love that it can be programed with the child's favorite things (animal, food, color) and that it uses those things in the songs, it definitely connects DS to the toy more and he loves it!
DS2 just got My Pal Scout for his 1st birthday. He really seems to love it so far! He lights up and smiles every time it starts singing. He also seems to recognize when it says his name, which is pretty cool. He sleeps with it sometimes. Right now it is on his changing table, because I have found that it is one of those toys that works wonders so I can get through diaper/clothes changes quickly

DD has Violet. We bought it for her for Christmas and she wasn't too interested in it at first, but we used it at night for the bedtime music for awhile. Now she LOVES it, she smiles and claps whenever she hears it say her name, and dances to the music.
DS got Scout for Christmas (16mo). He was hooked on him for a couple of months. Scout went everywhere with us. He doesn't play with him as much now, but still gets a big kick out of it when he starts singing. He's also really into hugging his stuffed animals right now, so Scout gets lots of hugs if nothing else.
DD got violet for Christmas and she didn't like it at all. But at about 14 months, she started to like it. She only plays with it in the car. And when the night-time music comes on, she starts crying. So she quickly finds another button to press so the night-time music stops. I don't know why she doesn't like it, maybe she just thinks she has to go to sleep since it says 'bedtime'. Who knows. But she likes it when she says her name.
DS LOVES it! He got it for Christmas (at about 10 months) and has played with it almost every day since then. He now knows how to flip through the songs to find ones he likes!
