Thanks for your advice ladies. My boob went from not really hurting to splotchy, red and painful in like a half an hour... I called my doc and he said to come in right away. Sure enough I have mastitis and he prescribed antibiotic (cephelex), told me to take ibuprofin and rest rest rest. I had 101 fever and didn't even know it.
I don't feel all that bad right now, and I feel a lot better after she nurses on that side (although when she's actually nursing I want to vomit from the pain). I am so glad I caught this in time and you guys were so right, it went from "eh" to "holy Shiite that hurts!" in no time at all!!!
