ok so im gettin a clear but not thick at all watery fluid that is (TMI SORRY) squirting out every time I get up. Its not enough to fill a pad I dont think though.. so I dont know could this be my water?? its not pee and isnt discharge... but I thought your water would be tinged pink or brown? could it be amniotic fluid even if its clear? should I call OB
Re: water breaking question ?
amniotic fluid should be mostly clear, actually. sometimes it's a little pink, but shouldn't be brown. that's a sign of muconium in the fluid.
sniff it. i know it sounds gross, but sniff it. if it has little/no smell or smells kinda sweet, it's probably amniotic fluid. i would go ahead and call if that is the case.

My water broke at 32 weeks and I thought I had peed myself! It was just a clear watery fluid. After about 10 mins, I leaked again and this time it was tinged with pink.
I went to the hospital and they admitted me. They said that my water wasn't totally broken, I was just leaking. However, my body went into labor-mode and I delivered naturally within the next 12 hours.
I would call your Dr. and then follow his directions.

I had something similar happen. My water broke at work and slowly trickled throughout the day. I assumed it was discharge, but it was amniotic fluid.
The fluid should definitely be clear and mine didn't fill a pad either. It was very warm, clear and watery. I didn't notice any odor to it until I got to the hospital and had a huge gush of fluid - it smelled kind of like bleach/semen (TMI, I know).
I would call the OB, just to be safe. GL!
This..When I got up, it would come out.would be warm felt like I peed myself (but it broke right after I went pee so I knew)..Was enough to soak a liner but maybe not a pad at the time..Doesnt hurt to call
If your fluid is any other color than clear at first, it means there's an issue. Brown/Green fluid would mean the baby had a bowel movement in utero. It turns pink later on because it's mixing with blood from your cervix dilating and blood vessels bursting.
Just call your Dr. That's what they are there for.

This is exactly me today. Turns out it was just the discharge turning watery and abundant. With my first, my water broke and it was completely clear and odorless. It was also more in the "gush" range and I heard a pop so there was zero doubt in my mind. Man, I miss my first pregnancy- this one has had all those little "could this be something?" moments. Stupid PTL risk...
