OBGYN recommendations? Pls help

Hello All :)

I am pregnant with my 1st child and am searching online for any and all info on a good OBGYN. My insurance is limited and living in the Costa Mesa area I don't have lots of options either. I was wondering is anyone has heard about a few of these Dr.'s?

Dr. Kamran Ghodsian, Dr. Stacy Henigsman or Dr. Charles Moniak.

I seem to have narrowed those 3 down but would love feedback if anyone has any.

 Thank you VERY much!!

  • What do you mean "limited?" Kaiser? If you're on just a regular HMO, my friend is seeing Dr. Stephanie Ricci using an HMO and loves her. Dr. Ricci also delivered one of the bumpies LOs and she also loved her. I used Dr. Gigi Kroll who is amazing but only takes PPO.

  • thank you for responding :)

I have Healthnet HMO through Bristol Park. They only have 7 OB's in the Costa Mesa/Fountain Valley area only 1 of them being a female, which I prefer. Although, with good recommendations I don't care if the Dr. is male either.

Is there any way to switch to Greater Newport Physicians?  I had Healthnet many years ago and was still in the GNP network. I think you'll find a lot more options, especially if a female doctor is preferred.

  • Instead of the CM/FV area, maybe check the Newport Beach area if that's how the break out the choices. That's where you would find Ricci, etc. You would much rather deliver at Hoag than at FVH or OCMemorial in FV.  Maybe check to see what OBs are affiliated with Hoag on the list? Also, PP's idea to switch to GNP is a great one.

I will contact HN and see what my options are.
