Infection on my nipple:(

so my right nipple has been all sore for a few days.  Today I woke up and have what looks like a huge zit on my areola.  I am an ep'er so I pumped... it was horrible.  The pump rubbed it the whole time.

Then I popped it.  Huge amounts of puss came out (sorry for the grossness) and now my nipple is totally on fire.

I am at my sisters ... thus no access to my doc.  Any suggestions on what to do?  Am considering numbing my boob with ice before my next pump....Tongue Tied

    Get some First Years Nipple Butter. its better than lasinoh Lanolin ointment (since thats like sheep fat or something like that ewww)

    The nipple butter helps heal and is all organic ingrediants. It helped soothe my nips when they bled the first two days.

    Oh no! That cant be fun! Can you call the dr and talk to a nurse to see what they sa to do?  Maybe call your LC???

    Owie!!!

    Apply some hydrogen peroxide to get all the pus out.  Ice for sure!  And you probably want to check out the doc's when you get back home.

    OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! that would possibly be the worst most painful place for this to happen....

    try neosporin that has the anti-pain ingredient.

    OK :) this JUST happened to me and lasted over a MONTH until it popped finally - it was just SO sore until then and a little white head - it is from a clogged nipple pore - look it up on Kellymom.com. I went to OB and LC alike and I took Diflucan to get rid of any yeast (seemed to help) and also lots of warm compresses before pumping and definitely neosporin while it was open. Mine eventually scabbed over and then it just now feels good - its been a MONTH!
