Early u/s....twins!!!

Hello ladies,

I am new to this board and praying to stay with you.  After 3 consecutive early losses in the past year, I am newly pregnant again and just found out we are expecting twins!!!  I had my first u/s on Tuesday and we saw 2 sacs both measuring 4w6d. My question is, is it normal to only see 2 sacs (no yolk sacs) this early? For those who had early u/s, what did you see?

I have a follow up u/s next week at 6w0d.  I know we should know a lot more then, but in the meantime was wondering if anyone else only saw sacs at this point?

    Congratulations!  Exciting!

    Yep - that is normal.  You should see yolk sacs at your next appointment.

    We had our 1st u/s at 5wk 3days and it just showed 1!....all stats are in siggy.

    Congrats!  actually we only saw one sac at 5 weeks and the other one was questionable.  When we went back at 6 weeks there were two sac and 7 weeks two heartbeats!  Good luck.  This board is awesome, filled with ladies with great info!

    Congratulations!   Yes, it is normal to only see the sacs that early.

    This.  At our first u/s (5w3d), we only saw sacs.   A wk later, we were able to see the babies, and h/b!

    Congrats!

    It is normal, early on every day can make a difference. We saw the sacs at 6w2d and only one HB, at 6w4d we were able to see both HBs.
