woohoo - Jack got a spot at daycare

after a being on the wait list since October (20 weeks pregnant) we just got the call that he can begin in July.

So glad that I randomly called to get the baby on the wait list even though we had thought he would be able to come to daycare at my work.  Everything happens for a reason and we are so happy he will be going to our first choice center anyways.

    Awesome, congrats!  We got our name on our list at 11 weeks pregnant, and we're still waiting.  We've got time yet, though!

    yes... the work one didn't pan out - they flaked so I think my instincts were right in the first place and I'm glad we were still in a position to make other arrangements. I didn't want to rock the boat where I work (even though many people wanted me to) because I think politics were at play and it just wasn't that important to me. 

    Like I said, everything happens for a reason and them flaking was a blessing because if they had accepted him and I took the spot only later to have something bad come up I would be pretty upset that we had given up a spot at our first choice place.

    Good luck on your search, I think (hope) it's less difficult in Seattle?

    Woohoo that's awesome news! And I'm a bit jealous...I went on the waiting list at our top choice literally the week after we found out I was pregnant, and we just checked in with them earlier this week - they basically told us we had no chance and should plan on going elsewhere. Sad I knew the odds were REALLY low since we need two spots, but I guess I was still holding out hope that we could get in anyway...
