NBR - Costco or BJ's?

Which do you prefer & why? Do you do most of your shopping at either of these? If not, what types of things do you find the best deals on? We have a Costco near us so that is what we have been using but a BJ's just opened and it is so much nicer! And BJ's seems to have a lot more things for baby & a lot more common brands. Speaking of, anyone use that Berkley & Jensen brand? I saw they make diapers. Thanks!

I usually go to Costco's cause it's closer, but I heard BJ's has more organic products and you can use your credit card.  After my membership runs out, I'm going to try going there.  It's about 15 min further away, but may be worth it for the organic products.  I think they also have a 60 day trial membership.

  • We don't have a Costco nearby and we have BJs but we prefer Sam's Club. We just buy select things from there and don't do too much shopping for food there.. the things we buy are Pamper's diapers and wipes, paper towels, toilet paper (we buy one huge pack that lasts a year!), bottles of water and the big jugs of water for the water cooler things. Other than that we periodically buy other things like granola bars, peanut butter, etc.. The fresh fruit is really cheap and we buy the pizzas they make there sometimes because they are only $7 something and yummy.

  • I have Sams & Bj's memberships.  At Sams I buy: cooking spray, aluminum foil, plastic wrap.  More bulky items that last at least a year.  At BJ's I buy Veggie burgers, crackers, egg beaters, seasonings, fruits and veggies, toothbrushes, chicken sausages, Veggie sticks (God's gift to a junk food junkie) and an occasional item on sale with a coupon.  I spend about $100/month at BJ's.
