1st Trimester

Lots of blood - really scared

I was just in the shower and had a big gush of blood come out.  I'm terrified.  My husband called the doctor on call. She said it could be the beginning of a miscarriage or it could be because I overexerted myself.  Today was the first day my nausea let up so I was up and moving around almost all day cleaning and going on errands.  I usually am barely up and moving around.  In addition to that, I orgasmed twice today (with no entry).  I haven't had any cramping beyond very mild and short cramps that felt like RLP.  Has anyone had this happen and everything was fine at the next ultrasound?  Everything in me is telling me it's another miscarriage, but I'm trying so hard not to believe it.  I'm falling apart.  This can't be happening again.

  • I just wanted to tell you that at my first appt this week my OB told me not to be scared if my nausea let up by week 10 because that's normal.  I am hoping all is well with you and praying for a good outcome.
  • You are in my thoughts. At 6w I had a huge gush of blood and even large clots. I was a nervous wreck until my next appointment but in the end everything turned out ok. Turns out I had a hematoma and now it's resolved itself. I know it's hard but I laid down and rested until my next appt as much as possible to avoid any undue stress.

  • Thinking and praying for you two. Try to be calm and think positive. Let us know what the doctor says.

Hopefully its nothing... my mom bled with both my brother and me and we're completely normal.

    ((hugs))

  • I had this happen to me when I was about 7 wks or so. It was due to a subchorionic hematoma which is a collection of blood in the uterus. Usually resolve by themselves. Our LO is nearly 2 months old, and thriving! GL to you.
