Hi Ladies! Does anyone have any reccomendations for a urologist who specializes in male fertility issues? Our current Uro is great and we love him but DH and I are thinking about getting a 2nd opinion and I am having a hard time finding a new Uro. Thank you!!
Re: Looking for a Urologist who specializes in MFI
I don't have any suggestions for a urologist, but the first thought I had was to ask an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist) for a referral. RE's deal with infertility issues and should be able to give you a name or two.
Thank you
I think we will give him a call.
I actually started reading your blog a few months ago! I think I sent you a PM with some questions about your adoption process! Nice to talk to you again!
I think maybe you sent me an email, right? (Hi again!)
Before adopting, we saw a reproductive endocrinologist -- Dr. Kowalczyk in Warren. She's really wonderful - very kind and knowledgable. We did 4 IUIs and 3 IVFs with her - it just didn't happen for us. We both have some fertility issues. During our treatment DH saw Dr. Lutz and he seemed very nice, too.
Good luck -- you can still "talk" with me at stevewendyadopt@comcast.net if you want to
I try to check that email once a day or so.
Yes, I did
We saw Dr. Maria Hayes at Oakwood Hospital once and then we were referred to Dr. Dimitriou our Urologist. Dr. Hayes we didn't care for, but we loved Dr. Dimitriou. We found that DH does produce sperm but has a blockage that they can't locate so we were told that IVF was our only option. I just feel like maybe a 2nd opinion couldn't hurt. I don't see how they can't see/find the blockage. So that's where we are now.
Thanks for getting back to me!
Erin
P.S. Zoe keeps getting cuter and cuter!!!!
Well, I hope Dr. Lutz or whoever you get a second opinion from has some answers for you and your husband.
Thanks for the compliment for Zoe.
Tomorrow should be interesting - we're going to court to finalize her adoption (maybe I already mentioned this...sorry...I'm so tired and it's late!!!) I wonder how she'll be in the courtroom before the judge! My guess is she'll be making lots of noise -- it's almost like she's singing or purring but very loud! Should be interesting!!!
Thank you
Congrats on your finalization! What an awesome day! Friends of ours adopted in September and they just finalized last month. We were able to be there in the court room and it was so exciting! Did Zoe sing and purr? She was probably so happy too, she wanted to sing about it...lol!!
Well congrats again!!
Thank you! Congrats to your friends, too - how nice! That's great that you could be there.
Zoe was a little loud! Not exactly singing or purring but she made her presence known, that's for sure!
She was very cute.
I posted more pics on my blog, too.
