Ok, so I know that basically all of us are super excited and want our lo's to come.. I thought that I was number one on that list for my friends and family. That is until my hubby texts me today and has been EVERYDAY to get this baby out. He even said to me today through a text to "pleasure" myself to get our lo out. I told him that it doesnt work that way and just laughed at him. Is anyone else's family/friends more impatient then you?
Re: Are you the most impatient for your lo to arrive?
My family is definitely getting impatient. I didn't answer a call from my mom last week (not purposely--I just missed the call) and I didn't check my email that day . . . so in the evening I get an "OMG is Lola here?!!" phone call from her. Umm, no, she is not here. I'm only 35 weeks and my cervix is currently Fort Knox. But we'll let ya know.
I am definitely not. At our shower/bbq this weekend, my dad took everyone's bets on when LO would arrive. His was the earliest at July 2. Mine was the latest at July 21. Due date is July 16.
It's not that I'm not excited, everyone seems to be getting ahead of themselves. I'd like the little pea to cook for a while longer!
I was really impatient about a week ago until I read your post about "chilling out, savoring the moment of pregnancy and keeping LO to yourself" I never thought about how many guests are going to flood in and everyone who will want to hold her! I think I might just want to keep her in a little longer!! LOL! I'm selfish!
No, my husband is definitely the most impatient. He wants to try all of the old wives tales. I keep having to tell him "there is no way I am drinking castor oil". He keeps wanting to go for walks and go shopping--when I ask shopping for what, he just says whatever as long you are walking around somewhere. And if I say ouch for any reason, he quickly asks "are you in labor?"
Two days ago, he put his face next to my crotch and yelled "Paige! Paige, the exit is DOWN HERE! COME OUT!"
I'm sorry -- I hope everything goes really well for you tomorrow (or you go into labor on your own like right now!)
God bless you! I cannot imagine being 2 weeks overdue and sounding as calm and pleasant as you do. I still have weeks to go and I can feel myself gettting crankier by the day!
That is too stinkin cute! Were you not rolling in laughter?!
This sounds like my DH! I was experiencing early labor last night and this morning, and he stayed home from work "just in case". He jumps at every noise I make. Definitely on high alert!
