getting pregnant- as in taking drugs, having a previous m/c, etc., when is the first time you will see your Dr.? I'm just curious. I won't see mine until I am almost 10 weeks.
I didn't have any complications getting pregnant (I was due to start clomid the next cycle) but was seeing an RE due to non-PCOS poly-cystic ovaries. I saw her a week after my BFP, then again at 8 weeks and then I see my OB at 9 weeks.
I had a m/c in February but my doc does not see me as high risk and I will have my first u/s at 9 weeks and then I'll see my doc 4 days later.

Goodbye our sweet little peanut. We love you so. Every lament is a love song...

I went in for a blood test at 4 1/2 wks because I requested it. The doc wants to see me every 4 weeks from there (which is pretty standard). If I wouldn't have made the blood test appt I probably would have gotten pushed to 8 wks as well.
I saw the nurse practioner 3 days after BFP - I was about 5 weeks. Had my first u/s at 7w3d by my LMP and would have seen the doctor at 8 weeks, but she is on vacation, so I won't see her until 10 weeks.
I saw the nurse at 4 weeks for b/w, etc. I went today for an u/s today at 6w4d to date the pregnancy. I will be going back in 2 weeks to confirm the date w/ another u/s. After that I will be seeing the docs on the rotation schedule every 4 weeks.
With DD, I saw the MW at 9 weeks and when I was pregnant in Jan, I had my first appointment in feb at 9w2d.
This time I was seen earlier for b/w and ultrasound and when I went in for b/w, the MW met with me briefly and did a pap, but my first "real" appointment is at 8w5d.

The first time, my doctor saw me really early (like 4 weeks). It was such a waste of money. They had me pee in a cup, told me I was pregnant, told me to take some vitamins, and I was on my way. Total waste of a copay. At the next appointment at 8 weeks, it was a lot more stuff-a pap, bloodwork, u/s, etc. This time, I didn't even bother to call until yesterday, and the appointment I'll be right around 8 weeks.
Honestly, 10 weeks is a good time. Anything really early on is really pointless. I will have my first appointment on Monday and hopefully have an u/s then.
My cycles were really off, so when we got pregnant, my dr ordered an ultrasound to date the pregnant (we were 5wks 5days). I set up my first officially appt with my OB and I'll be seeing them when I'm 9wks 4 days, but I think 8wks is pretty typical.

Re: If you didn't have complications...
Oh I didn't think mine was out of the norm, I was just curious when people were having their 1st appts.

8 wks.
This of course excludes the extra u/s and b/w done before the fact, but I never actually saw a doctor for those.
I'll see my midwife/nurse at 8 weeks and the OB at 10 weeks.
ETA: oops! I thought I was on first tri. Hello January gals!

This is my first pregnancy, when I called the receptionist didn't bother to ask me when LMP was or anything, just scheduled me for an opening.
I will be 7w1d when we go, I didn't bother to mention how far along I'd be to check, this time works for my schedule so I jumped on it!
