I requested that I not have any showers however several groups would like to do something for me and I have agreed to a few small gatherings. No invite, no decoration type things.
My running group always meets for Sat. breakfast at a small place in town after our runs. They graciously requested that I let them throw me a shower. I told them if they wanted to bring a treat/cake and some diapers one weekend I would really appreciate it. There are a couple of ladies that sent an emails out and will bring a cake or something, but it's not an invitation-decoration kind of event.
Another group (3 ladies) are taking me to lunch and then to target to pick out some small items. Kind of a girls day out.
The last group (3-4) ladies would like to have lunch with me and I told them diapers, burp clothes, any small items they really found useful with their own kids would be appreciated as well.
So, it's a tradition here to get the hostesses small gifts for their trouble, but I don't really have "hostesses" and I would feel bad getting something for one or two of them and not all of them esp. when the groups are so small. Any ideas?
