Need bank reccomendations...

I am very tired of our current bank, Chase. Their policies are very different from WaMu's, most notably the fact that you have to wait 1-3 days to have a check clear and be available, with WaMu they at least gave you a 100 dollar credit to get you through the period of time it took.

 

I would like a bank that provides this, and doesn't charge fees on my account (like service fees). Maybe that's too much to ask, but here's to hoping?

    I HATE HATE HATE Chase. I am in the process of closing my accounts there.  I wish my mortgage wasn't with them.  I am giving Wells Fargo a try.  So far so good.  My check deposits have been available the same day and when my account became overdrawn they sent me an email and called me to see if I would like the overdraft charge waived.  Nice.

    My DH and I have always used Bank of America and have been very happy with their service and customer service.  Like WaMu, they too, credit your acct. $100 while your checks clear.  Depending on the accts. you open you might incur services fees (different savings acct. options) but, as far as regular checking and savings which we have...no service fees there.  Hope that helps.
