Smells..

I live in an apartment where there is all types of ethnicities which is beautiful and interesting. However, its awful when I go outside to walk my dog and all of the neighbors are cooking and I smell a mixture of Asian/Indian/Mexican/etc food! Before I was pregnant it smelled delicious! I wanted to knock on doors and ask for a taste haha, but now it turns my stomach upside down and its causing me to only want to eat extremely bland foods. I wish my nose was not so sensitive to smells..does this stay throughout the whole pregnancy?

Re: Smells..

  • I think it is different for everyone.  For me (at least last pregnancy) it lasted throughout the enitre pregnancy.  Because of the hormone changes, we have a hightened sense of smell.

    I can smell everything!!!

eww! bad enough when your nose isn't uber-sensitive!

  • This is a huge problem for me even this early. I had horrible food aversion during the first half of my pregnancy w DS and ended up eating only bland food. Anything can trigger the nausea as a result and my smell has already started to become super sensitive so prolly gonna happen this time too.
