Hey everyone! Lillian Mabel was born on Sunday morning at 8:35 AM! She weighed 7lbs 12oz. We named her after my paternal grandmother and MH's maternal grandmother.
I tested positive for Group B Strep and then got a fever of 102 during labor, which meant an automatic trip to NICU for Lillian - they had to give her antibiotics just in case I had passed the GBS onto her while they waited for the results of a blood culture, which took 48 hours to come back. Thankfully, the results were negative and she got to come home yesterday!
The doctors aren't sure why I got a fever - I had been battling a sinus infection and was in labor for 22 hours (after having Cervidil for 12 hours), so it could have been just that my body was too run down. Regardless, am feeling a lot better now. Now we are just dealing with the craziness of getting settled in.
Thanks so much to everyone for the congrats! You guys are so awesome
