Trying to Get Pregnant

haircut advice? need a fun change!

Hey all!

I am going for a haircut tonight and am looking for advice. DH will cry bitter tears if I go too short, but I am thinking I would love something with a little more style. I have *very* thick hair, almost waist-length at this point (dang PNV's) and bangs. I like the bangs. I also have stripey highlights, which DH likes (thinks I look like a tiger! grr!) Below is a pic showing my hair better:

What do you think? What could I do? I want something fun! Here are some ideas below...Thanks, girls!

(might be too short for DH, but cute!)

I don't want to look like Laverne, though! Lol!

  • I think the first and second one are really cute.  If you can pull off shorter hair then go for it! ( I think I would look like a man, lol)

  • WHat about adding some layers? You don't have to give up too much length, but it would give it a new shape.

  • I like the 3rd one, too.

  • I like all of them!

But honestly, if you want your hair short, tell DH to get the fvck over it!

  • I wish I could see your personal picture!! Most pictures are blocked from my work computer, but I can see your celebrity style options for some reason!! I'm a short hair girl, but if I grew mine out it would look like the Mandy Moore one, so that's my pick! Especially if you have thick hair..the other cuts are more for thinner, hair and might make your thick hair look too fluffy or frizzy. Good luck :)

  • I vote for either the second one or the third one. I think if your looking for a big change, you shoul do the second one. I also think this style would look really nice:

image But it's likely to short for your DH's liking.

  • I like the 3rd one too. I also have very thick hair, only mine is a little past my shoulders(used to be to my waist way back when though :p). The best advice I can give is get layers put in, as one PP said. And ask for longer layers first, otherwise the short top layers just get frizzy. And its best to start with long anyway, because you can always go shorter if you want to. And I don't know if you'd consider do it, but I get my hair thinned out *a little* bit every other time I get my hair cut. But my aunt is my hairdresser and she knows how I like my hair. I don't think I would have anyone else do that to mine b/c sometimes they don't do it right and I end up with frizzies :/ HTH, can't wait to see the results!! Smile

I definitely want to be able to do a ponytail - she is SO cute!

  • I like the first one. And don't worry too much about your DH. Mine also didn't want me to cut mine, it was very long when we got married. But he wanted me to be happy and told me to do what I wanted. He LOVED it and is now bummed that I am growing it back out, lol.
