I replied in the thread below, but then I wasn't sure if you would read it there. So here's my reply to what you wrote:
I wouldn't mind having a bbq or something at home, either, but our concern was the weather, too. We really don't have the space to have everyone inside -- we could maybe fit 12 adults in the living room/dining room area. That's it. So if it rained we would be in trouble. Plus everyone will be kind of dressed up at the church so I didn't know if an outdoor party would be the best (the baptism is in August and it will probably be so hot...) That's why we're kind of leaning towards a restaurant...
Re: J & R 07
My parents have a bigger house and that would be good for a party, but they live pretty far from us and the church. Otherwise, it's not a bad idea for the size of space that we need for all the people we'd like to invite.
I guess we're still thinking we may have it at Fishbones -- it's close to us, close to the church, closer to many of the guests, etc. We're having our lunch there tomorrow after we go to court to finalize our daughter's adoption- I'm going to see how it goes and make a decision after that.
Oh i love fishbones!
Congrats on finalizing the adoption!
I love Fishbones, too
It reminds us of New Orleans - we took a trip there about 4 years ago and had so much fun.
Thanks for the congratulations -- we're so excited!
