Do you give your baby vitamin D drops everyday?

  • for the 6 months he was ebf, yes. it was part of our bedtime routine. after his bath i'd lay him on his changing table and give him his vitamin. since we started solids we have been giving him a multivitamin with fluoride instead.
  • Nope.  Still EBF and pedi has never mentioned it.
  • Nope. I take DD outside everyday. Pedi said 15 mins of sun every week is enough to get the vit D that she needs.
  • Nope...he is a fair-skinned little man so our Pedi said because we live in the South with plenty of sun he will get all he needs if we take him outside often.  So we just make sure he gets a walk outside everyday (normally, weather permitting of course)

  • Nope. Never even heard of doing this.  Fill me in please!
  • Yes, our pedi told us to start at 2 months.  We do the CVS brand without the added iron.  She LOVES it.  It's part of her bedtime routine as well, and when we pull out the vitamin bottle, she gets all excited and wiggly on the changing table.  She recognizes it and is only too happy to take it...it's kinda weird!

  • No, not anymore.  I did in the winter, but we spend a good bit of time outside every day now that it is nice out.

  • We did not for the first six months.  She now gets a multivitamin powder mixed in with her food and that has vitamin D in it.
