a Zyrtec question

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
For anyone who gives Zyrtec to their LO for allergies...when do you give it and how often. I think it says 12 hours so do you give 2X a day?

    I'm only giving it once a day, somewhere between dinner and bedtime.

    Just out of curiosity, what kind of symptoms caused you to start giving it? Last night was our first try and it helped the congestion but the coughing continued. All.Night.Long! So I'm thinking the cough may be from something else? DD has had it for months now.

    Pedi says 1/2 tsp every night. FYI, Wal-Zyrc is the same thing, half the price. :)

    Give it a few days to really kick in and start working, at least in my experience, his symptoms didn't seem to REALLY get better until he had a few days of it under his belt.

    Thanks everyone! I bought the Topcare brand because I think Zyrtec was part of the recall. DD is back to sleep already and momma here is gonna take a nap! So glad I'm on vacation this week.

    DD has been doing the same thing. The cough and running nose never seems to go away. I started Monday giving her 1/2 tsp of targets brand of Zyrtec in the morning and she has been doing a lot better. Back to sleeping through the night and no more coughing/running nose.
