Hello, ladies!  Anyone is welcome to join at anytime.  This was started because so many of us are working on making our lives more healthy...whether by weight loss or lifestyle changes like eating healthy.  This weekly check-in gives us a chance to share success, vent about failures and frustrations, and have accountability.

What is your long term goal or objective?

    Hi! I would love to join. Im about 9 weeks pg right now but I still have healthy weight goals for this pregnancy. With my first pg I gained 50 lbs and it was so hard to take it off ( I still had about 15 lbs to go when I got og again). So this time around Im really trying to make good choices and exercise more.

    What is your long term goal or objective? to only gain 30 lbs with this pregnancy

    What short term goal(s) are you working on now? not eating something just because it sounds good. making healthy snack choices and working out 5 times a week

    How did the past week go?  (you could do a 1 - 10 scale too, 1 is awful, 10 is sublime!) last week we were on vacation so it was not good! Id say a 3

    What tip, tricks, or changes have been working for you? just remembering my goals and how annoying it was to have to workout so hard to lose the weight

    What obstacles, roadblocks, or changes have been frustrating or not working? limited exercise time because of DD and food aversions

    What are your hopes/plans for the coming week? Im planning to workout 5 times and eat small meals throughout the day

    Anything else you would like to ask/share? I know how hard weight loss and lifestyle change can be but we really CAN do it. Good luck everyone!

  • There you are! I was asking the other day if there was one on this board. I want to join. :)

    Long term goal - lose like 100 lbs to get into healthy range for my height.

    Short term goal - Continue to say yes to water, no to coke, and control my portions. My new goal is to get to the gym or at least walk a few times a week.

    I started weight watchers last Wednesday. I weighed in today and lost 2.5 lbs! I'm so excited, I've never actually lost any before.

    I'm planning all my meals ahead of time (even if it's a few hours, I'm planning). I've been looking for lots of fiber, whole wheat, adding more veggies and fruit, and NO coke. I fill up my water bottle (30 oz) 2x at least so I can get my water in. Skinny Cow single serve cups are the best invention ever.

    The only challenge I've really had is with trying to find time to be active. I think I am just DONE with being fat and unhealthy at this point and I'm actually enjoying weight watchers. Never thought I'd hear myself say that about a diet plan, but I LOVE ww! :)

    We are going to the zoo Friday, so I should get plenty of exercise that day. It's also my birthday and I'll be tearing up some ice cream cake that night(with my extra weekly points, of course)! Starting Tuesday I start back to class, so I'm trying to figure out a way to schedule in gym time. It's hard though with both of us being students and no gym childcare.

    To lose at least 30 lbs, and get back in the normal weight range for my size/body type.

    What short term goal(s) are you working on now?
    Well, I'm 7 weeks pg, so I'm just trying to eat healthier and keep my workout routine going.

    How did the past week go?  (you could do a 1 - 10 scale too, 1 is awful, 10 is sublime!)
    Eh, so so. I did make several good food choices when I was tempted to make bad ones. I cooked more at home last weekend than I usually do, but we also went to my grandma's where I ate biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Embarrassed And this week, I only made it to the gym today. Crying Tomorrow is out too bc DS got shots today and is not feeling good. Hopefully I'll get to go Friday!

    What tip, tricks, or changes have been working for you?
    Sonic grilled chicken sandwiches are actually pretty good!

    What obstacles, roadblocks, or changes have been frustrating or not working?
    I'm pregnant. That kind of kills the whole 'losing weight' thing. Big Smile

    What are your hopes/plans for the coming week?
    Go to the gym at least 3 times. Cook more meals over the weekend.

  • I would love to join in on the fun :)  I gained 55lbs with this last pregnancy and would like to be at a healthy weight when we start trying for number 2. 

     What is your long term goal or objective?   I've got another 7lbs to get back to where I started and then another 15lbs after that :)  Also to have to buy new clothes because the ones I have are too big!

    What short term goal(s) are you working on now?  I would love to reach my starting weight!

    How did the past week go?  (you could do a 1 - 10 scale too, 1 is awful, 10 is sublime!)  I've had company for two weekends in a row and I've still managed to lose! 

    What tip, tricks, or changes have been working for you?  I've been trying to workout 5 days a week with a combo of weight training and cardio.  I've also been working on not drinking my calories.

    What obstacles, roadblocks, or changes have been frustrating or not working?  We love to eat out which is my biggest downfall.  I've been working on cooking meals that taste as good as restaurant food.  It's been rocky!

    What are your hopes/plans for the coming week?  To continue to workout and control my eating.

     

  • Oh I need to join! I need some type of support. Years ago I lost 100lbs and did it on the atkins diet. Gained it all back. Not doing that again! I'm trying to decide on going it on my own or using weight watchers. I have never done weight watchers and would like to do the online one if I did use it. Anyone use or used weight watchers before?

    What is your long term goal or objective?  Lose 100lbs

    What short term goal(s) are you working on now? 30lbs lost by my 34th bday October 9th

    How did the past week go?  (you could do a 1 - 10 scale too, 1 is awful, 10 is sublime!) 4- Memorial weekend made it hard bbq bbq desserts galore a brunch full of yummies BAD!

    What tip, tricks, or changes have been working for you?

    What obstacles, roadblocks, or changes have been frustrating or not working? My husband eats late at night and gets home late so we often eat dinner late. When we do eat dinner early then we all eat late night snacks. I'm trying to cut those. Gradually.

    What are your hopes/plans for the coming week? Walk twice a day morning and evening and cut my eating time off at 9pm by the end of the week.

  • What is your long term goal or objective?  To get back to my pre-baby weight and fitness level.

    What short term goal(s) are you working on now? I am working on working out on a regular basis (5-6 days a week).

    How did the past week go?  (you could do a 1 - 10 scale too, 1 is awful, 10 is sublime!) I would say about a 3.  Memorial Day weekend and my wedding anniversary was not helpful.

    What tip, tricks, or changes have been working for you? I am doing Weight watchers, and I just started the couch to 5k running program.

    What obstacles, roadblocks, or changes have been frustrating or not working? I have never been this out of shape in my life.  It is really depressing for me.

    What are your hopes/plans for the coming week? I hope to complete week 1 of my running program and I would like to lose 2 pounds.

    Anything else you would like to ask/share? I am so glad this getting started.  I am looking for a little accountability since I am doing WW on my own (we can't afford the weekly dues).  Good luck to everyone!

  • Hello! Joining for the first time this week. New to this board but SAHM from the start.

     What is your long term goal or objective? Would like to lose 45 pounds to be at a maintainable weight. If I get to that weight and feel like I can go lower I will :)

    What short term goal(s) are you working on now? I am trying to lose 26, I'm 225 right now and am working to get under 200.How did the past week go?  (you could do a 1 - 10 scale too, 1 is awful, 10 is sublime!) 5 that's about where I stay. I have maintained for 2 months after losing 30 right away.  What tip, tricks, or changes have been working for you? I have honestly been relying on bfing to maintain. I drink tons of water but need to get more active.What obstacles, roadblocks, or changes have been frustrating or not working? I have reached a point where bfing is not going to keep helping me lose. It is so hot here that even just walking is too much for Ella Grace most days and it's very de-motivational. I also developed a wicked sweet tooth while pregnant that I need to cut back on.What are your hopes/plans for the coming week? Tomorrow is my 25th brithday. Today I am having lunch with my grandmother and I am going to ask her to buy me The 30 day Shred for my birthday. So my plan is to start that.Anything else you would like to ask/share?  I want to be able to really play with my daughter. I want to be outside and not have that sticky skin feeling all over.

  • What is your long term goal or objective? To lose 5kg (11lbs)

    What short term goal(s) are you working on now? Making it through the holiday long weekend!

    How did the past week go? Not too well, I had a few lunch dates and a party where I ate more than I should have.

    What tip, tricks, or changes have been working for you? I have been making myself concentrate on the food when I eat, rather than just shoving things in my mouth when I have five minutes spare.

    What obstacles, roadblocks, or changes have been frustrating or not working? It has been raining all week so I have not had the chance to run.

    What are your hopes/plans for the coming week? I am going on holiday and hope to walk around the town a lot.
