36 week appt, GBS test and first internal!

Went better than I expected...I was expecting it to be really uncomfortable but it really wasn't. The GBS test was really quick--barely felt it, and he only swabbed the vaginal area. The internal was actually less uncomfortable than a pap smear (for me, at least), i really didn't feel much and it was very quick. So I am officially 35 weeks 4 days pregnant, 1/2 a cm dilated adn 30% effaced! dr thinks baby may arrive within the week before my actual due date--i hope so! I know it could still be a while but I definitely left there really excited and hopeful!

    LUCKY!!! I had mine yesterday and it was very unpleasant!

    The GB was horrible, even tho he only swabbed me it hurt a lot. I had to ask DH later what he did because I thought he cut me. And the internal was quick but painful. And I'm not progressed at all... Sad

    Happy you had a good apt and have made some progress!!! GL!!

    That's great! I hope mine goes that well tomorrow at my 36 wk appointment! I'm really nervous about the GB and the internal so you made me feel a little better about how my appointment might be in the morning.
