Restaurant for Baptism Party -- East side? Please help!

We're trying to figure out a place to hold a luncheon for about 25 people on the east side - preferably mount clemens, harrison twp, st clair shores, grosse pointe, roseville, etc.  We're trying to keep the cost down as much as we can, so probably something casual would be best.

 Any suggestions?  Thanks so much!

  • Check out Cloverleaf in Eastpointe and Juliano's in Warren.

  • not sure what kind of menu your looking for but shields at 23 and romeo plank ( i see that its a little out of the area of your looking at) but they have great food and they have a great packages that aren't pricey.  and they have a beautiful little area for private parties.  we had my sons first birthday there and they were amazing.

  • Thank you both for the suggestions...I'm kind of looking for something a little closer to our home, though...

Does anyone else have any other ideas in the towns I mentioned?

Bath City Bistro in Mt. Clemens is fun. You can rent a feather bowling lane while you eat, if you want to. There's also Ferlito's in Grosse Pointe. Yum.
  • Might be a little out of the way, but we did ours 2 weeks ago at Portofinos in Wyandotte.  It's right on the water and the service and good were great!

I checked into Bath City's website -- looks like a neat place.  I'll have to check it out.  I've never heard of Ferlito's -- can you describe it to me?  They don't have a website from what I can find online...

It seems nice, but yes, it would be too far for us...we have guests that are coming from quite a distance so we wanted to keep it closer to our home...thanks, though!

  • Eastpointe is near you and Cloverleaf really is great!  Did you price out Andiamo's in Grosse Pointe on the water?  There's also Buca's on M-59.
  • Olive Garden in Eastpointe on Gratiot.

Beach Grill, Andiamos, Fishbones all on Jefferson in St Clair Shores.

Andiamo's looks like it would be too much $$ for the number of people we'll have.  Buca's is too far.  Cloverleaf might work...

I love the Beach Grill, but their banquet menu is a little pricey for us.  We had our shower and we're having our Adoption Day party at Fishbones...we may end up going there for the baptism party, too.

The nice thing about Fishbones is that they'll let you create a mini-menu from their lunch menu.  That way we can stick to our budget and give everyone about 10 choices for lunch. That's what we're doing for the Adoption party.  So we'll see - if everything goes well, we can consider it for the baptism, too.

My first thought was Cloverleaf, too! YUM!!

  • I like Cloverleaf's pizza, but I thought it might be kind of too casual for a baptism party....I just don't know.  Has anyone here actually gone to or had a baptism party there?

  • Art Teacher - i saw your response on 6-9. I will be interested what you pick. Please let us know. I am debating on just doing a BBQ since it will only be close family and they wouldn't mind at all. though if the weather is bad we will have to go somewhere.

  • I wouldn't mind having a bbq or something at home, either, but our concern was the weather, too.  We really don't have the space to have everyone inside -- we could maybe fit 12 adults in the living room/dining room area.  That's it.  So if it rained we would be in trouble.  Plus everyone will be kind of dressed up at the church so I didn't know if an outdoor party would be the best (the baptism is in August and it will probably be so hot...)

That's why we're kind of leaning towards a restaurant...
