3rd Trimester

Hate to say it, but I'm over it

I love my LO and I've loved being pregnant for the most part, but lately, I'm just OVER it! I'm so uncomfortable and I cannot believe I still have anywhere from 4-6 weeks left. My tummy is so big that I feel like I can feel my skin and stomach muscles tearing. It is actually painful! My back hurts so bad and my feet and ankles sometimes swell all the way up to my knees. I'm just ready to feel like myself again and to feel like my body is my own. Sorry for the whining but I just had to say it. And props to those mamas who are further along and bigger than me.

  • This is my biggest fear lol..Right now I'm enjoying my smaller baby bump, no stretch marks, no swelling, nothing! I know I'll be in your place in 11 weeks.

  • I agree. And kinda feel bad for it.

I don't know how women in 3rd world countries do it! I couldn't be in a rice field and work 12-14 hours a day. I couldn't haul water from point A to point B. AHHH! This makes me feel weak and very very lame.

  • Don't feel bad!! I'm 8 weeks behind you and feel the same!! The heat doesn't help at all!  I hope the next month flies by for you!

    Ella is finally here!

  • I feel like I have been, and will be pregnant forever. And I'm over it too. I feel guilty that I can't cherish this more but I'm oh so very uncomfortable. And tired. And ready to have my body back.

Please don't let him be overdue!

  • Although the first trimester morning sickness seemed terrible I definetely am more miserable in the third trimester! Between the aches, pains, sleepless nights, heartburn, swelling, the heat .. Wowza, I can't wait to reach the end!

It's tough work growing a baby! Stick out tongue

  • I'm right there with you. I'm 39 weeks and a couple days. And I'm HATING this. I'll never have another baby after this one. I just don't enjoy it. But I love my baby so much, so it's worth it :)

    This.

Only like 1-4 more weeks for me! My doctor will not let me go to far past me due date. Thank GOD. I want my feet to fit in my cute shoes again. I am soooo tired of flip flops every day. I am tired of only getting sleep in 1-2 hour intervals due to going to the bathroom (feeding a baby or changing a baby will be a lot more rewarding and worth it imo), and I could go on for days. Carpel tunnel, my bp getting high, waddling like a penguin but looking more like an elephant....

  • Don't feel bad.  I've been "so over it" since I hit 6 weeks:)  I absolutely love my children and am so glad I have them, but HATE WITH A PASSION being pregnant!  But, for as much as I hate being pregnant, then end result is so worth it that I am actually considering doing this a 4th time:)  Some women just love being pregnant, but if you ask them how things went for them they are typically the ones that had no morning sickness, no heartburn, no aches and pains, etc.  Sometimes I just want to smack those women:)!

  • I've probably told about 10 people today that "I'm so over it!!!". I am definitely not one of those girls that enjoys this whole pregnancy thing. I'm in the same boat as all of you, my back pain is excruciating, my feet look like they belong to Big Bird of Sesame Street, I can't breathe unless I'm sitting up perfectly straight, no sleep at night. And the heat/humidity here in Florida is KILLING ME!!! I swear I'm about to give up. For the next 8 weeks, I'm doing nothing but sitting in the pool and letting people wait on me hand and foot!

OMG I COMPLETELY AGREE. I have not enjoyed being pg, and have had a really easy pg. I look down at my feet and think how exciting it will be to see my ankles again (I haven't seen my left ankle in months!), or to reach things-BEFORE my belly bumps the counter!

On the bright side I know I only get to eat my goodies for another 3-4 weeks, then it's back to rationing out cookies, brownies, chocolates, ice cream treats, candy, cake, etc! I was good about not eating these very often before pregnancy & was really good my first 2 tri's, but this last tri it's a free for all - IF I want a cookie I'm gonna eat a cookie!

  • I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who is SO ready to be DONE. This is my first baby and I'm the first one out of my friends to have a baby so I had NO idea what was in store for me. I thought I'd just "glow" for nine months. Well I was WRONG!!! I threw up for the first 24 weeks only to now at 27 weeks not be able to breath and have MAJOR heartburn. I'm only 5 foot tall and very short waisted and this baby is already running out of room, At my OB yesterday they told me I will not make it to the end of August. He said he will probally end up taking me at 36 weeks bc there will be no more room for him(LO) and he will really be impeeding on my lung function. That stills means I have 9 MORE WEEKS TO GO. Not to mention I live in Alabama and it is already 90 degrees and humid.
