My OB said i could take Zantac (even twice a day if I need). Taking daily has really helped and sometimes I need to take tums as well (rarely but the OB did say I could)!
I eat ice cream or drink milk Sitting up usually helps the most though!

Tums & ice cream. Hasn't made much of difference for me if I'm sitting or I lay down to go to bed...Dr. also told me I could take Mylanta, but haven't resorted to that yet...
Pepcid AC or Pepcid Complete. They are wonderful!!

Re: What do you do for heart burn?
Pepcid.
I've changed my diet, tried natural remedies, slept sitting up, you name it, I've tried it.
Pepcid is the only thing that remotely helps.
