Adoption

WDYT re: fundraiser idea

DH & I were talking fundraisers this weekend and thought about selling t-shirts.  Since alot of our feelings about adoption are based in our faith we wanted to incorporate that as well.  I was thinking that the front would say "Proudly Adopted" and on the back have this verse: "His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave Him great pleasure~Ephesians 1:5"  I was thinking maybe making the tshirt brown and having the writing in carolina blue.  What do you think?

  • I like it !!
Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! Expecting again after IVF Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

  • wonderful idea!  Plus, added to it - it's a great way to explain (and sometimes enlighten) how adoption fits into religion and the Bible!
  • I like it, but can you do at least one other color combination?  I'm not sure if many men would go for brown with that blue.
  • Do you think brown w/ white lettering would be better?

  • I think it would have more general appeal.  When I first read your post, that's what I was expecting it to say, anyway.
  • But what do other's think?  Maybe repost this part of the question so people see it?
