This morning I had my 36 week appointment and as a result, I'm going to 1/2 time a work.
I've been taking my BP twice a day at home since the beginning of the year because of white coat syndrome. When I started taking it, my numbers were in the 1-teens/low 70s. Over the past few weeks, they've risen to be consistently 125 - high 130s/high 80s. I don't have any protein in my urine or any other symptoms of pre-e, but my docs would like me to take it easy from now on, in hopes of keep my bp at bay.
So, here I am sitting at work, trying to figure out partial leave. Sure do wish I would have researched that before hand..... rats!
Otherwise, baby is doing well... still big, so I'm going to get another u/s on 6/14 to get a "final" weight estimate and make a go forward plan.
Re: 36 Week Appointment Update
Did they check you for progress?
Sorry to hear about the partial leave, that sounds like a PITA. But I am glad to hear that baby is doing well...

They did not, though I wish they would have. They were already up in my business doing the GBS swab...
I am glad you are able to take precautions now and that your LO is still doing great in there!
Summer 2011
My OB asked me if I wanted her to check when she was going the swab, I really am surprized at how many OB's don't check. I was under the impression that this was a normal thing.
Ditto... I was fully expecting to be checked today. I was basically "stunned' when she said it so I didn't think to ask her to check.
AW, sorry about your BP. That's no fun. Are/Were you planning on working up until delivery?
It will all work out - glad the baby is doing well :-)
The plan was to work until baby came.... looks like that's being modified slightly. Oh well... whatever is best.
