We told our families right away. We were going to hold off telling other people but didn't say that to anyone so my sister posted it on facebook and then the phonecalls began.... lol.

Neither...we couldn't hold it in when I got my BFP so we told our parents a couple days later. Friends mostly after our first appointment. Looking back we should have probably waited longer but the excitement took over.
I told a few close friends and family members at about 6 weeks. I told everyone else after the first ultrasound a few weeks later. I just couldn't keep my mouth shut :-)
We told family and close friends as soon as we found out at 5 weeks. I was noticeably pregnant by 14 weeks so I wouldn't of been able to hide it very well!

Told BFFs right away, work knew pretty early because of me constantly puking in my bin at my desk, told family around 8-10 weeks and everyone else after the NT scan.
There is no way to say this w/o sounding snarky, but please don't take it that way...
I feel like I just answered this and thought it was your question????
Hey wifey...
Ya, I posted a similar post last night but when I checked earlier this morning I didnt see many responses. I figured during the day this post would have a lot more responses. I realized I should have posted a RP or something after the fact
I told some close friends in the 1st trimester, but we held off on telling the majority of people until a little over 12 weeks. We had a "big sister day" for DD when I was a few days past 12 weeks... we wanted her to help us tell our families and everyone. And we knew once she knew, EVERYONE would know. (And we were right--the next day at school she wrote a letter to a soldier in the service and said, "How do you fly a jet? My mommy has a baby in her tummy!") Word is spreading rapidly now...
Mom to J (10), L (4), and baby #3 arriving in July of 2015

I thought so, but then I also think I am nuts half the day so I wasn't 100% sure.
We were really big on not rushing out to tell people. I did tell my best friend right after BFP and told my mom 3 days after that. We told ILs at 8wks and everyone else at about 13-15wks.

We told the fam at 5 weeks, but we thought it was 7 weeks. My BFF found me out on the bump, and I told one friend and my boss at 14 weeks. Haven't told the rest of work or the rest of my friends yet. I only told my boss because I had to go for extra testing and didn't want to irk him that I kept taking off of work. And I told my other friend cuz we were in a bar and it was sort of obvious that I wasn't drinking. (I am usually Miss Martini.)
I'd like to hold off until 20 weeks to tell everyone else, but I think my stomach will give it away sooner this time.
We told my sister and his brother around 5 or so weeks. We told our families after our first appointment (which we had a u/s and got to see the hb) around 8 weeks. I came out on facebook around 12 weeks.

i didn't even get the chance to tell anyone! My mother told everyone after my first doc appointment! LOL. we went out for lunch, and while i was stuffing my face with delicious Qdoba Tacos, mom pulled out her phone and called every single person in her phone book!! So the only person that did not know at that time was my husband! lol
We told our parents at about 6 weeks, our siblings at about 10 weeks and we've just started telling friends at about 13-14 weeks. I probably won't say anything on FB until 20 weeks. We had a loss at 13 weeks last time so have felt more comfortable not making big announcements this time.
mmc @ 14 weeks - November 2009. Missed every day.

For me the question should be "when did your DAD tell everyone you were pregnant?"
I swear the man can't keep anything to himself.
This. Except we told our parents at 9 weeks, and came out on FB at 13 weeks after out NT scan.

your DD is adorable!
Told both sets of parents & my best friend at 7 weeks, my sisters knew at 5 weeks. Didn't say anything at work until 13 weeks.
I'm not planning on annoucing anything on FB, I figure the people that I really want to know I'm pregnant I'll tell in person or via a phone call.
