Has anyone been over in 9-12 today? Big drama on giving your baby junk food. It's crazy!

So what is your view on junk food? I am going to try and cook as healthy as I can for Mason. I didn't really have that growing up. I know that it's hard to do that everyday with DH and I working full time. So, if we have to squeeze a happy meal in every now and again I am fine with that. Everything in moderation I say.
Re: Holy crap on a cracker!
i just have to say that 'crap on a cracker' made me laugh out loud, literally

I dissagree on certain foods. I try to buy the dirty dozen in organic whenever possible, but certainly don't buy things like bananas or oranges organic. I think there is a lot of benefit to avoiding foods that are seceptible to retaining a lot of pesticides and insecticides. I don't use them in my own garden either.
That said- that whole post was a clusterfuck. We eat relatively healthily, but, ::gasp:: we eat out at least once a week, sometimes more if we're busy. LO hasn't had anything horribly unhealthy yet, but honestly, the only reason I haven't given her any ice cream yet is because she's allergic to dairy. What kind of childhood doesn't include ice cream?! Oh, and we're huge grilled cheese fans at our house- with tomato soup (not always organic either- oops).
I'm a big fan of moderation.
Anyway, I'll probably be like my parents and withhold candy and fastfood until baby is 3 or 4. But once he's a toddler, he'll probably get pancakes, grilled cheese, PB & J, etc.
I wonder how much that OP on that post you linked is going to beat herself up when 1. fast food is going to be the fastest thing you can find (think 10hr travel by car and not wanting to pack an ice cooler because you need the space in your vehicle for other stuff) and 2. when her child eats something she considers "junk" one day.
One day that high horse is going to throw her from it's back.
