Pregnant after a Loss

please help me find a maternity dress

Anybody seen cute maternity dresses?  Or have a go-to store for cute dresses?

I'm trying to find something I can use for two summer weddings and that would also be nice enough for a dinner-dance sort of event coming up in a week.  Short, non-black, and sleeveless but with wide enough straps to wear a normal bra would be ideal.  I've hit Gap, PiP, MM, and a DM with no luck.  I have some other locations of the same stores I can visit, but this is getting frustrating!

  • I would try Isabella Oliver, they have cute stuff. Or maybe you can find a normal dress that is empire-waist?

  • Have you tried Target yet?  I've seen some cute ones, but now that I think about it, they were probably more black than you're wanting.  Kohl's has a very small maternity dress section - last I saw there was brown and dark gray.  What about JCP?

I think I wasn't looking for dresses when I was at Target and Kohl's last, so those are ideas.  Are their dresses dressy enough?  JCP had zero dresses, it was sad.

Holy sh!t- you just reminded me of a dress in MY closet that may work for at least the first event.... if the girls still fit in the top that is.

  • Try buying a maxi dress a size or two bigger. they go from very casual  to extremely dressy.  I saw a PG lady in one this past weekend and it was very pretty.
