SD "graduated" today =)

Our school district built a HUGE HUGE HUGE, did I say HUGE (?) high school - seriously this thing can rival a community college campus! Anyway, They are adjusting the schools so elementary school is now 4K (4 year old Kindergarten)-4th grade. Intermediate school is 5&6th grades, Middle school is 7&8th grades and then 9-12 in high school. So SD graduated from elementary school today. She was presented a little diploma, received awards for 4th quarter honor roll and being on honor roll all year. She missed perfect attendance because of the trip BM just had to take her on to Maryland to pick up her brother (SD says now she wished she hadn't gone and missed school).

DH and I were there - BM wasn't, said she couldn't miss work. DH left work to drive the 30 minutes back home to attend and then had to go back to work and has to make up the time he was gone.

The principal sang Miley Cyrus' The climb... over all it was a cute graduation.

ETA: she received a cap and tassle too (for $12!).
