Stopping progesterone supplements

The doctor said I could stop the progesterone supplements.

That thought kind of scares me.

I have enough to take through 14 weeks. I'm thinking about continuing them until the NT scan next week...

BFP #1 9/23/09. Missed MC 10w3d D&C 11/3/09.

    It can't hurt anything, so if it gives you peace of mind, why not?

    I think abartane took them her entire pregnancy.  (I'm pretty sure it was her)  She said her doctor did a study that showed it was beneficial or something to that effect, I don't remember the specifics and have been meaning to page her to ask about it.

    I was neroticallty scared and frightened to go off mine as well...So much that I took my progesterone and metformin through 19 weeks (and no, that isn't a typo).  The reassuring thing is that he has been kicking like crazy for the past couple of weeks.  I stretched my supply by cutting down to every other day.  I know I didn't need them, but it made me feel better taking them.  My doctor was ok with it (though she told me it wasn't necessary) since your body can't have too much progesterone.  I know you've heard it over and over again, but it really will be ok.  At my appointment today the doppler picked up a normal and healthy heartbeat-3 weeks after stopping my meds.  GL to you!
