Pregnant after IF

spotting but not freaking out---yet

so i had red spotting which turned into brown spotting 10 days ago... my u/s showed that the baby was going great but i had some blood in my uterus but my RE and nurse told me it was nothing to worry about it and it wasn't threatening the baby... ok--good and then they discharged me...  Today i went to the bathroom about an hour ago and i had some brown spotting (which is actually tan looking because of my endometrium) on my panty liner.... it wasn't alot and when i wiped there was nothing and i have gone to the bathroom since and there was nothing...  so am i supposed to be stressed or worried???  i have an obgyn appt friday---should i be calling anyone and asking questions... or just assume it is going to be alright and just talk to my doctor on friday....  i don't really know what to do or what to think?  Anyone?

  • with an OB Gyn appointment tomorrow, I would just mention it at your appointment, especially since you already have had this and it isn't new.

But I would ask for an u/s just to double check everything is okay and definitely make sure you mention it!

    good luck!

  • I  had exactly what you described around 10 weeks (is that where you are at?) and I think it was implantation bleeding from the placenta.  I had the same thing with the baby implanting.  Just a thought. GL!
  • Spotting is normal. But, definitely mention it at your OB appt on Friday.  I had spotting for about a week from week 6 to 7 and then days of spotting here and there ever since.  But so far everything's still OK.
2nd ectopic resulted in loss of tube. HSG revealed remaining tube is "severely torqued".

  • I had spotting on and off with a subchrionic hematoma. I was told to expect it and not to call unless I was bleeding heavier then my first initial bleed. You can always call for reassurance, that is what their job is!
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  • I would try to hold off till Friday.  Of course if it gets worse, call the office/answering service tonight.  Stay away from the ER (I have been told).  Thinking of you!
  • I had brown spotting around 9 weeks.  My peri said that brown blood is old blood and not to worry about it (easier said than done). I think you will be fine until your appointment on Friday but if it gets worse or is accompanied by cramps, call right away to get it.

  • I would mention it at your appt tomorrow. With spotting that color (which is what I had yesterday) I was told it was okay and even "normal". Sorry you are dealing with this!
