So we have been anxiously looking forward to getting a bike trailer to pull DS in so we can go on family bike rides and finally did so today. One problem though, with how the the bike trailer connects to the bike, both my husband and I hit our heels on the bike trailer when pedaling. If we consciously move our foot up farther on the pedal it's OK but then we are pedaling with the arch/heel of our foot which is not going to be comfortable for a long ride. Have any of you ladies dealt with this problem? Any solutions other than returning it and trying out a different kind?
Re: Ques for those who have bike trailers...
Hmmm ditto EmMad, are you sure it's installed correctly?
Even if I had wookie feet they still wouldn't come close to hitting where the trailer is attached.
BWAHAHAHAH!!!! Wookie Feet!
lol can you tell I married a star wars nerd.

It's this one, sorry, no clicky.
From the picture you linked to the attachment looks the same as ours (different brand) and we've never had the problem you described the few times we have used ours. It clamps on to the support bar that extends directly backward from the pedal.
There is a not-too-helpful picture in this link.

Good luck! We had ours out this weekend and DS loves it.
Yah, that does look like the same type of attachment mechanism. Hmm... methinks DH and I must just have abnormally large feet! Well, we'll see what the company says in the morning when I call them, it appears after a lot of research online that we we may be able to convert it to a more standard hub-mounted attachment which would definitely get it out of the way. Thanks for sharing your experience, I am relieved to know this isn't the norm for bike trailers because that would be really annoying.
