How common is cramping on/off before a BFP?

This is not my first rodeo, but I have serious amnesia when it comes to my symptoms with my first pregnancy. I should have written some things down.

I have been cramping on/off for the last 3 days. Today they were particularly strong as if AF was about to show. I'm only 8dpo though so I doubt AF will come before Saturday.

So if you had cramps as an early symptom, when did they start? TIA!

I started mild cramping from 8dpo and onwards, right about when I saw a temp dip on my chart. Might have corresponded to some implantation cramping or something.

Normal cycles, I wouldn't even begin to cramp until maybe day before or day of AF. But that's my body.

I definitely had cramping at 8 DPO that got worse at 9DPO. I got my BFP at 9 DPO, and cramping continued through week 6. GL!!

I had lots of cramping the week after ovulation and I still get it a little now and I am 5w4d

I had a lot of severe cramping during weeks 4, 5 and 6. Then it tapered off.

this is what made me take a test the first time! I was cramping for two weeks during when I thought AF was due. This time around its the same thing...still crampy in week 5...I think I remember it tapered off around week 6 or 7 ( when I had my first OB appt)

I didn't get cramping until I was a few days away from my AF due date, but they felt exactly like period cramps. I thought I was going to start AF at any given minute.
