I'm in L&D. They gave me the civadil and boy did that hurt like a b!tch going in. I did not like the twisting and pinching. Ouch! The IV is also annoying. I feel like I can't comfortably move in the bed. I do like listening to Baby Girl on the monitor though.
DH ran to go get something to eat. It sucks not being able to eat anything until after baby is born. I just hope I am able to get some sleep. I 'm so anxious. They said they can give me something if I needed it. I think I will take them up on that offer.
Re: It's going to be a long night...
You can do it, be strong!!! Keep your eyes on the prize lady...
LETS GO JQ LETS GO!!!!!!
I don't know, but only liquids from here on out. I am so going to stuff my face after she is born.
*clap* *clap*
That's the spirit matey!
Thanks for the advice Loves. My plan is to avoid the epi and I hope I can. I remember the nurse talking about getting up and moving into different positions during my childbirth class. I really hope it doesn't take 12 hours like they expect. I am going to have a heart to heart with my body and Baby Girl tonight.
Yes! Take the sleep aid. There is no wayyou'll be able to sleep cause you're so anxious to meet her. Then after she comes you won't be able to sleep cause all you want to do is hold her and spend time with her. That's what happened to me anyways. Sorry the cervadil hurt, but you ain't seen nothing yet : )
And boo to DH for getting to eat good food. The hospital food wasn't so bad, a little bland, but all they gave me right away was a liquid diet. Jello, juice, water : (
Ooooh this is so exciting!
I'm anxious about the pain but it is a small price to pay. They just gave me some juice and I am allowed to use the restroom in a few minutes! Yay!!

That's great that they're offering you something to eat. I'd go for it! I was induced with DS at 7pm and he was born at 5:30pm the next evening. Tomorrow the IV fluids will keep you somewhat satisfied and you'll be able to drink liquids (try ginger ale and cranberry juice or even their chicken buillon to psych out your stomach growling).
That being said, I'm truly excited for you that your LO will be in your arms tomorrow! Think of the finish line and the grand prize to get through these next several hours!
Hugs to you!
you know, everytime i see the title of this post i think of that song that goes...
"it's gonna be a cool night, let me just hold you by the firelight if it don't feel right you can gooooooo"
I'll be thinking of you tonight, JQ! I'm wishing you tons of progress so we can meet Baby Girl soon.
Hugs!
