Question for 2nd time mommy's

Sorry if you get this question a lot, but my husband and I are pretty curious as to how many of you actually went into labor on or before your due date? If you had to be induced, how was your experience?

I had to be induced 8 days late. I didn't have a very good experience. I am hoping to go on my own this time.

before due date and my water broke so I was induced... I really wanted to go natural so I fought the epidural.... Big mistake haha pitocin is not nice if you have to have it get an epidural!

DD - I went into labor on my own at 38.5 weeks, had her at 39 weeks. I had a LONG labor but it was fine and we had a great delivery.

DS - I went into labor on my due date, his labor and delivery was so easy.

I went into labor with DD 4 days before my due date. She ended up being an emergency c-section due to distress. My OB had given me pitocin (prematurely in my opinion) which caused her heartrate to drop.

I was induced both times, the second time i was induced 5 days early due to high blood pressure. I havent had a bad experience being induced but i would like to go into labor on my own just so i know what that is like.

I went into labor at 38w, but labor stopped that evening. I went into labor again in the afternoon on 38w1d, and I labored until the late evening on 38w2d. So my little boy was born at 38w2d.

I went into labor 7 days after due date. I was at 3cm but the nurse put me on Pitocin anyway to speed things up (even though I said I didn't want it). This time, I am hoping to avoid Pitocin.

I went into labor at 37 weeks, 6 days and DS was born at 38 weeks, 1 day. Labor started on it's own, but didn't progress past a certain point so I had to eventually be induced.

I was induced at 39wks, but that is because I had fallen the week before and was in pain because muscles in my belly were strained, and the only way to relieve the pain was to deliver and for the muscles in my belly to shrink back down. However at my 39wk appt, DS showed no signs of coming any time soon because I had no progress, contractions or anything.

My induction was perfect. Checked in the day before, did cervadil for 12 hours, broke my water, start pit and had my baby that afternoon. Start to finish was about 17 hours. No complaints here....

But I had to go into my labor on my own this time...**crosses fingers**

DS: went into labor on my own and had him on his due date

DD: water broke so I was induced with an epidural - she also arrived on her due date.

I had an easier time with DD because I got the epidural when they started the pitocin whereas I didn't get the epidural with DS until 6 hrs later I had basically went through then entire laboring process.

Induced at 42 weeks, first with breaking my water, then pitocin. Went med-free, which was extremely hard work, but labour was only about 9 hours long. If it had been long and slow, I would def have gotten an epidural. about 1 hr 15 min pushing. C was in great shape, although quite peely, which makes me think he was definitely late - not just a dates mix-up.

With DD I started dilating around 38 wks...was up to 5 cm by my 40th week and ended up going 2 days past my due date. Contractions started on their own in the morning, my water never broke they broke it for me. Ended up with c-section due to large baby and sort of malformed pelvic structure. I will say that being already dilated made things go quickly - more quickly than they probably should have for a first time. I think we got to the hospital a little later than was optimal, I couldn't stay ahead of the pain and was over-whelmed with it all until I got the epidural. Hoping to schedule my c this time and just have a more calm birth in general.

I went into labor 2 days before my EDD (at 10:30pm) and DD was born the next morning after 7 hours of labor and 45 mins of pushing. We walked ALOT, ate spicy food, eggplant parmasean, squats, and sexy time with DH. I wanted her out!

Went two weeks early with DD#1 with no previous sx of labor before my water broke. I've already said if this girl doesn't come early too DD#1 is my favorite lol.
