For those of you who make bento lunches for your kids.

What are your favorite "tools" to use when making them? (ex. cookie cutters, toothpicks, etc.)

My DD hates cold lunches. HATES them with a passion. And we're about to finish school (where she buys hot lunch daily) and start a summer of summer camp where she needs to bring her own lunch.

I'm thinking of "tanking her up" at breakfast, then packing a bento lunch with cheese, fruits and veggies... and then just giving her a good dinner. I think she'll be OK with that. But it's all in the presentation--so I'd like some ideas for cool shapes or appealing ideas.

And please share any bento blogs you might refer to. Thanks!!

I don't do Bento myself, but you can probably get good ideas/info from this blog:

So far I'm just cutting things with a knife and small cookie cutters (I have a heart and a star).  I also have a Wilton pan that makes tiny heart shaped muffins and DD loves those (I've been making corn muffins in them).
