CP: Girl names mentioned

Cast your vote!

So DH and I have started with many names and through the months have added some and also took away a few, added them back and so forth. I also changed  what the MN will be although I never thought I would. I am in between Christina (my bff who's life was taken from us too early) and Rose (my mom's MN). My mom's face completely lit up last time I saw here and told her I was thinking of using it. If I go with Rose, Christina will be my daughters Saints name.

Anyways, I really wanted an Italian first name but DH is not big on it since his last name is really anglo. Side note: I miss my maiden name. :) Here are some names that we are looking at. We are going to make the final decision when we meet her but I want to cut it down a little. Thanks.

wow, this got long for a clicky poll. ;

I may be posting and running since I have to head to my appointment. :o

Re: CP: Girl names mentioned

  • My vote is for Natalia Rose, though I will admit that Sophia Rose sounds really good together.

  • I voted for Amelia.  I like the middle name Rose better, but that's probably just because I always go for one syllable names for middle names.

But I did want to say good luck at your appointment!

  • I LOVE the name Giovanna! Sophia's pretty but if you're going Italian, you may want to use the Italian spelling Sofia (2 of my cousins named their daughter that).

I think Rose goes with all your first name options!

Honestly, I love all your name choices, but Giovanna is my personal favorite.

I voted for Sophia bc it was one of our front runners for girl names as well....but I LOVE the name Natalia. I'm with her ^ .........

Me too, DH's last name is anglo and common...(duh Lewis, it's in my username, I'm a dork)...I sometimes wish I had kept my maiden name because it's a pretty unique Hispanic name, but hyphenating would have been a pain and I wanted to take DH's name (and he wanted me to also!). I think for our kids though we are making my maiden name like a phantom middle name. So this baby's full legal name will be Jackson Brodie Rubealcaba Lewis. He can just drop it for introductions and all but legally that will be his full name and any other kids will be the same set up.

(And for fun maiden name is pronounced Rube(long U)-le-cawba.)

  • I know this is no where what you are looking for, but Jennie Garth has a daughter named Luca Bella and I always thought that was such a beautiful Italian name.

GL - baby names are tough :-)

    I voted for Penelope - I think that's adorable.

  • Giovanna is my favorite.  But I also like Amelia and Roma.

  • I voted Sophia ~~ I like it with your last name. If you use Giovanna - what would you use for a nickname... if anything?

I love Giovanna as well probably because it is very close to my maiden name. I need to do a lot of convincing for DH though.

That is a very unique name. Giovanna is close to my maiden name that is why I put it on our list. I like the idea of using a phantom middle name.
