ASD- Story schedules ?

My son was finally diagnosed with an ASD last week, no surprize.  The Dr suggested story schedules and said that they school I am sending DS to next year uses them.  I am trying to find some to use but everything autism related seems really expensive, to a point where it seems like autism is a big business.  Even Autism Speaks charges $49 for an iphone app!  Anyway, anyone find an affordable place to get these story schedules?  I really don't know much about them and I am totally new to the ASD world.  Thanks

I know what you mean.  We got ours from DS's teacher (same they use in school).  You could make one fairly easily.  Ours is a piece of cardboard covered in construction paper with a length of velcro attached and an envelope attached at the bottom.  His schedule pictures are from a program they have at his school, but you could probably find small pictures online or draw them yourself.

Let me know if you want me to PIP it to give you an idea of what one looks like.

It was a lifesaver for us for awhile, he's grown out of it now.
