I have a long night here at the hospital, LO is sleeping and DF and I are watching tv and trying to relax and stay calm. Ok it's more me lol but everything is good so far with LO and once again ladies thanks for the T&P's
I'm up with a fussy baby again. I think she is just over-tired from the long car ride home we had from Memphis this morning. She was awake for a really long portion of it.
Luckily tomorrow morning we have a doctors appointment to see if her fussiness is because of AR or what. She was exclusively fed bottles these last few days because she was having such a problem nursing and such a problem with gasiness.
I'll keep your LO in my thoughts tonight! I hope you and you DF are able to keep as much rest at the hospital as you can. I'm glad that he was able to come (I read your earlier post about only one parent staying, I would have been pissed too!).

aw poor baby girl! I hope her fussiness goes down for you! Have you tried mylicon for the gas? And hopefully you get some relief at your appt. tomorrow! I know once we put my LO on Zantac, it helped her fussiness wise. Thank you for your T&P's I truly appreciate it! Were just staying strong and relax, this is so new and stressful!

Thanks for the well wishes! We have tried both mylicon and gripe water...the only thing they both helped with has been the hiccups she gets from fussing and crying when she is in pain. I had her at her one month appointment just last week, and that's when the pedi asked me to come back after feeding her from a bottle for a while. He thought she might have been frustrated with the process of nursing and frustrated by the fact that she couldn't latch on, but it's looking the same fussiness wise while she is drinking from a bottle. So, who knows-I will be relieved to find out tomorrow.
Keep us updated on little Lauren and have a good night!
Aw do you put ice packs or anything on them to help? How's your DH doing with being able to comfort Matthew, any tips help him?
The video was a double edged sword. It gave him confidence but it gave him TOO much. I am looking forward to getting our package from The Happiest Baby but I am also dreading it. If his head gets any bigger we won't fit in the room with him.
I am going to use the lanoshin cream and some gel pads in a few minutes. He pretty much fed every 2 hours for 24 hours. I keep thinking my breast are going to look like empty tube socks when I am done BF!
Do they give you a comfy place to rest while at the hospital?

LOL does he feel like superdad now? That's funny, but at least he feels better! I just ordered that DVD so I'm looking forward at what it will offer and hopefully helps! Lol your poor boobs, my LO was so hungry today because they didn't let her eat for 5 hours! She's eating 2oz every1 hour! And they brought me this chair/bed type thing that I'm laying on and DF will be sleeping in the chair :-/

Superdad does not even begin to cover his confidence level now. I ordered the package with the dvd, music, blanket and something else. DH keeps asjking if it has arrived already.
agh, those chair things are not comfy! I hope you guys can get some rest. Next time we have a child I am taking a sleeping bag for my husband. He didn't fit in the bed they provided for him cause he is 6 foot 5 inches.

MCC1010- oh wow lol your going to have to tell us how it goes once he watches it and trys it out! Everytime Matthew will fuss, I bet he will be the 1st one to try and soothe him and especially with all those little tips and tricks he's going to learn!
And wow he's tall! no wonder where Matthew gets it from!
I'm glad to hear things are going better for you and DD! I'm just catching up on posts from today and saw your original post. I just fed DD and am counting down to when I can wake DH for his shift. We still haven't moved her bassinet into the bedroom (it's in the living room now). She's such a noisy sleeper the only way we get any good sleep is to take turns sitting up while the other sleeps. I find myself wide awake during my shifts at 2 and 3 AM, it's bizarre.
I am sorry about your DD. I hope everything turns out good. Ideally, I should be in bed but apparently, I don't like to sleep....So, I sit here drinking a glass of wine.

Re: What's everyone doing?
Glad you guys are doing ok.
I am bumping while I let my boobs air out. They are sore from Matthew's cluster feedings in the last 24 hours.
