Does anyone have recommendations for slings? If one more person tells me I'm going to suffocate my baby because of a sling I think I'm going to scream. You know, cause women haven't been wearing them for thousands of years or anything.....
...anyway, I know there are some slings that are more dangerous than others, but I also don't know anyone that has used a sling and wondered if any of you ladies did. If you did/do the babywearing thing but used a carrier, do you recommend the carrier over the sling? What carrier did you use?
Also, BIG ULTRA MEGA thank yous for everyone giving advice on baby gear the last time I asked! I think I'm going to go with the Graco Little Hoot line of stuffs. Double checking the safety ratings now!
Re: Babywearing and Thank Yous
I used the Moby for the first 6 months or so, and I used that thing EVERY day. Max had a horrible case of colic and needed to be on me at all times. I used the Moby to put him on me, and I would then do the laundry, clean, do homework, grade papers, etc. etc.
The Moby is a little intimidating at first because it's a little time consuming to get used to the different knots and wraps, but once you get it... it's second nature!
As a matter of fact, I'm not using mine anymore and if you would like to try it out... I'd be willing to give it to you for cheap since I'm not going to be using it anytime soon! PM me if you're interested!
You can buy in infant insert for the Ergo, or you can do as I was advised to do and just swaddle LO before you put him in there. DS was in the Ergo from newborn on. I think he can be in it up until age 2 actually.
