Re: No bake cookie recipe please

  • This is fairly close to the recipe I use. https://allrecipes.com/Recipe/No-Bake-Cookies-I/Detail.aspx

I think the one I use (grandma's recipe, not sharing, sorry) uses about twice the amount of cocoa powder, and smooth pb instead of crunchy. I think they have other versions on that website as well.

  • Here's mine:

    2 cups sugar

    1/2 cup cocoa powder

    1/2 cup milk

    1 stick butter (unsalted prefer)

mix all together and brign to rolling boil for at least 2 minutes (3 minutes good to make sure all sugar is melted good)

add in 1/2 cup peanut butter (I like smooth). Remove from heat.

Then add 3/4 to 1 cup of quick cook oats. (if starts to get too hard to mix return to hot, but turned off, burner. Spoon spoonfuls out onto wax paper and let cool.

You can also make fudge with this recipe just leave out the oats and instead of wax paper, pour into a buttered (8x8) glass dish.

  • ok I tried it... lets hope they work- lol wait who cares I'm still eating them!

This is awful close to mine, except mine also adds 1tsp of vanilla with the PB and 1 c walnuts with the oats.  . . and uses more oats and uses thick rolled oats (old school style).  They are much chewier than the quick oats version.

  • These are some of my favorite cookies.  My recipe calls for vanilla too.

Hope they turned out well.  YUM!!

I use a recipe from allrecipes, although I don't know where it is off the top of my head. I use mini chocolate chips and peanut butters. For an extra flavor and crunch, I put shredded coconut in mine.

  • Ok here is my grandmas recipe. I know youve made them already but these are killer and EVERYONE raves about them:

    2 c sugar, 1/2 c butter, 1/2 c milk, 1/4 c cocoa- boil for ONE minute

Remove from heat and add a huge spoon full of chunky pb, 1 tsp of vanilla and 3 c quick one minute oatmeal.

Spoon onto aluminum foil and let set..........PERFECTION~~~
