I am a tea-holic. And my tea kettle broke. I *think* someone knocked it on the floor yesterday when I had company over and the mechanism broke loose. I used to have the OXO uplift, and I loved it, but it looks like it underwent a design change since I got mine 5 years ago and it no longer gets good reviews.
What kind of tea kettle do you have? I'd like to keep it under $80.
Thanks!
Re: NPR: About tea kettles
I don't remember what the older design uplift looked like, but there are some on clearance at Bed Bath & Beyond

Maybe it's on clearance because it's one of the older design?
I have a cheapo Copco one from Target and it works great. I've had it for more than 5 years with no trouble.
