Recommend your favorite parenting book - child development

I'm looking for some new parenting reading. I'm specifically looking at child development for the 0-3 kiddies.

    My favorite parenting books -- Kids are Worth It and How To Talk So Kids Will Listen

    For development references I like the What To Expect books but I know a lot of people think they're annoying and condescending.

    I would not have been able to survive DS's first year without the Wonder Weeks book. I loved that it really got into what was happening developmentally with the baby and what to expect!
